When I hear they specifically need COBOL programmers I scratch my head wondering why. Did they just discover a ton of bugs or is it that their current architecture is not scalable? My guess would be the latter.
I’m thinking the solution requires system architecture changes. I would like to explore what they have, and how it can be split apart to make it scalable with as little code changes as possible.
