I worked at a fortune 50 company for 36 years and became a COBOL programmer starting in January 1990. We handled all of the business systems development for our companies European & Mexico operations on a VAX DEC platform.
In 1999 I became a Manager of a team of programmer/Analysts with team members in the USA, Europe & Brazil.
In the year 2000 my old company purchased JDE software and we put some parts of the business on that platform but the bulk of those business are still using the VAX & COBOL.
This allowed me to Design and program interfaces between several systems (VAX, IBM, JDE).
In 2019 my full team was outsourced to a company in India.
So I am available if any company needs some programming assistance in the VAX COBOL arena
