We are running a Z15 processor and an older version of Cobol. Since upgrading to Z15 we have noticed a spike in CPU Utilization.
One suggestion is that we need to upgrade to COBOL V6 using the ARCH option appropriate compiler options.
Has anyone experienced such an increase in CPU% on Z15 or greater processor and does anyone believe that recompiling with COBOL 6 and ARCH may be our Silver bullet ?
