The first 10 years of my career was related to Mainframe COBOL programming. The operating systems I have worked on: DOS/VSE, OS/MVS EXA, VM.
Databases: DL1, DB2. File systems: VSAM.
Online Programming with Macro Level and Command Level CICS. Have done a little DB/DC.
Batch COBOL programming for reports.
I worked with ICCF and have used JCL for DOS and MVS. My specialty was COBOL Command Level CICS. Designing systems for online applications.
It’s just been a while since worked with COBOL. I used to have Micro Focus COBOL software to play with but have not touched it in some time.
I would have no problem with volunteering at first until I feel I have refreshed myself enough to justify asking to be paid.
