Learned COBOL in the US ARMY in 1976, Ft Ben Harrison. Supported US Army Corp of Cadets @ West Point working in the Cadet data center. Went on to work for Cyber, Honeywell, GE, Lockheed Martin, Carrier, BAE Systems and Unisys. Programmed in Cobol for multiple years on IBM and Honeywell mainframes. Used it with Honeywell IDS databases, Cullinet, DB2. Primarily Batch work. Went on to become an Oracle DBA then to management and customer support.
